About the Journal

The journal Historia scholastica (hereafter referred as the Journal) aims to publish original research historical-pedagogical and survey articles. The Journal accepts only articles with topics from the history of pedagogical thinking, history of education, history of internal life of schools, history of teaching. With respect to the List of reviewed non-impacted periodicals published in the Czech Republic, the Journal is in the group of fields AM Pedagogy and Education.

The Journal is an expert peer-reviewed periodical. The Journal is administered by the chief editor of the executive editorial board and director of the publishing institution – i.e. the director of the National Pedagogical Museum and Library of J. A. Comenius in agreement with the executive editorial board and international editorial board. Its expert heading is controlled by the Scientific Board of the National Pedagogical Museum and Library of J. A. Comenius.

The journal Historia scholastic is an international journal and accepts studies in Czech, Slovak, English, and German language. The peer-review process is also taken in all these languages.

The Journal is published electronically twice a year. The first issue is published in August and the second one in December of the respective year. One of the issues is usually published in the Czech language; the other one is international, and includes articles both in English and German language.

The Journal follows instructions of the Research, Development and Innovation Council of the Czech Republic.

The international Journal Historia scholastica has been published since 2015 and follows the expertise volumes published in Czech language – Historia scholastica I. and Historia scholastica II. (ISSN 1804-4913).
